Nuclear Fan Blade Sculpture
Breathe Deep Series
Jill Drllevich & Craig Breitbach
The stark black of the nuclear reactor blade combined with light shining through open spaces creates balance that mimics a walk in the forest. Each blade stands over 8 feet tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds — salvaged from the never-completed Satsop Nuclear Power Plant in Elma, Washington.
The Breathe Deep series won the 2022–2023 City of Auburn Downtown Sculpture Gallery People's Choice Award. The works have been exhibited at Smith & Vallee Gallery, FOGUE Studios, A/NT Gallery, and in public spaces across the Pacific Northwest.
